Federal Jobs: Our facility functional and now expanded: Federal Civil Service Commission

Following reports about difficulties applicants encountered in uploading their CVs and application vis-à-vis Federal Job vacancies advertised by the Federal Civil Service Commission, the Commission has taken yet another giant step ahead in expanding the capacity of its server.  This is to ensure that the over 17million daily visitors would be able to upload their CVs.

With average of 17million daily visitors, it became difficult for applicants to upload their profile as a prerequisite for the advertised jobs.  Another issue that could have caused the difficulty previously encountered by applicants according to Dr. Oruche is the signal strength in the location from where applicants are accessing the site.

Addressing LeadingReporters General Investigation Editor, J.O. Oruche (PhD) attributed the difficulty to the number of people striving at the same time to upload their profile.

He affirmed that the Commission through its conceptualized online application has grounded the nefarious activities of job racketeers.

“Yes, the advert is real.  The commission’s insistence that all applicants upload their CV online is part of the screening process of applicants.  This is to ensure that they are IT compliant as required for most government jobs.  This conceptualized method is another way of saving the public from being duped by job racketeers.  Aside these, it makes it difficult for people to impose candidates to be employed as there are no interface discussions with anybody”

According to Dr. Oruche, the Commission is poised to ensure a seamless exercise rooted on sound IT experience by applicants and devoid of any form of manipulation.

“As at 30th September, the commission has recorded 119,174 successful applications.  That has improved as 150,991 successful applications have been received as at 1st October”

Dr. Oruche intimated that the commission is looking at the possibility of extending the application deadline.

“Since the expanded facility can accommodate as much application as would be received, we are looking at the possibility of extending the deadline for the application so that every applicant who has previously found it difficult to upload his or her CV could conveniently do so at a very high internet speed”

Dr. Oruche warned applicants who patronize job racketeers who sale forms to them to desist from such as no hard copy is acceptable to the Commission.  He said the Commission in partnership with Law Enforcement Agents are tracking those fraudsters who dupe people by selling forms to them.
